I like some of the photos I take, but its hard to really stop rethinking the photo sometimes.. perhaps I could have used a longer exposure and/or a smaller aperture, but when I look at this photo I honestly feel like it is complete. No cropping was required and only a slight white balance adjustment in post processing was needed. The SES have strict rules about the integrity of photos that are displayed in the public domain and also to preserve the identity of the subjects where possible (name badges) and similar recognizable features such as number plates. In this photo the trainer shows the other volunteers the correct way to approach a fire with head lowered and delivering a short, direct steady burst from the extinguisher directly into the source, or heart of the fire in order to subdue and extinguish the flames.
