Typical rainforest species with a wailing call that can sound both like a crying baby or a scowling cat. As they like to feed and chase in the mid to lower canopy I managed to get this one shot in the dappled light. The pair of catbirds stayed for a while before moving along the corridor and away.

A monogamous bird, the Catbird or Green Catbird is thought to mate for life. During breeding season from September through to January they defend their nest by feigning injury, like a broken wing for example.
