The latest addition to our family, ”Sweetcheeks” seen here trying to eat it’s human custodian (me). She was born in Dec 2007 and was hand raised by breeders in Albury who sold her to us 4 weeks ago. For the first 2 weeks, she was scared, confused and depressed sitting alone in the corner of her cage silently and hissing at us on approach. It must have been quite a change from the noisy aviary with the company of her siblings. Now however she seems like a different bird, singing to the sun in the morning and chirping it goodbye at night, flying to us and bouncing excitedly to play. Like all pet’s, cockatiels demand some attention and care and with enough of both will easily become an active member of your ”flock”.
