The common grass brown is ubiquitous across Australia. A casual walk through the grass and you will see these tiny tiny flashes of grey-blue you might mistake for moths. In fact, I always assumed they were moths until I got a proper field guide (Braby) and realized they were actually, beautiful little butterflies. Eventually I will catch one of these and take some macro photos. I have spent many an afternoon chasing through the grass on my hands and knees, reversed lens at the ready. They don’t like having a great big lens thrust at them much and I haven’t really succeeded in getting a good macro photo yet, but thought I would add this one to my list for the sake of the species list.
