This is not a particularly typical or useful wildlife portrait, but I just liked the softness of the framing created by the tree they were sitting in. Crested Pigeons only naturally occurred inland in Western Australia, but have become common across most of Australia as their favoured habitat was expanded with increased pastoral land clearing. They are a native species though, morphologically distinct from the Feral Pigeons of the cities.
