Unfortunately known as a bird of drab colouring, the Grey Shrike Thrush (GST) has a varied vocal range and inhabits woodlands throughout most of Australia. It eats a lot of insects but also birds eggs, frogs, lizards and even carrion.
Usually paired for life, both parents look after the 3-4 young that can be produced in 10ha breeding territories.
