The introduced honey bee is a staple of the Australian honey industry and also a widespread bee. Its sting, which kills the bee after use, is painful and causes swelling, but can also cause allergic reactions in some people resulting in debilitation.

I had to get very close with the reverse lens, which disappointingly did not offer enough depth of field for the size of this subject.
