Its easy to anthropomorphize primates by way of their striking similarities, in appearance and behavior. To do so, however, is not as far as stretch as some people go when doing the same with other animals, or even inanimate objects. It is no co-incidence that monkeys and apes should share such familiarilty as they also share a common ancestor with ourselves, and in this way are our genetic cousins. When we look upon them, we can’t help but to look upon ourselves and seeing in them our own fears, joys, humility and kinship.
