Another photo of this charasmatic reptile, this time a good 50-60 kilometers from the last pair I took a photo of in Albury. I’m no reptile expert.. perhaps it is a bearded dragon, but its hard to tell without looking in it’s mouth. The beard is lacking though, and without agitating the creature I am not sure how else you could tell.
Spotted close to household timbers left outside near a friends house, it was obvious this guy was living fairly close by probably eating insects from the garden, but enjoying the safety, shade and familiarity of scrap wood close to hand. Encouraging such beautiful reptilian life in your garden can be as easy as leaving some logs for them.
