Amongst the scrub surround the mountaintop monkey temple, Swayanabath, a group of monkeys sits atop the branches without much concern for the throng of people nearby watching with shared reverence. Monkeys are not common everywhere throughout Nepal and India, but in certain places like temples, the dogmatic practice of actually being kind to monkeys allows them to co-exist in small communities alongside human development.
