Apart from a few immediate tests, this is one of the first 18 photos taken with my brand new, just out of it’s box Canon 450D DSLR! The sun set’s early this time of year so I really didn’t have a chance to enjoy the daylight after work but look forward to putting the camera through it’s paces this weekend. I’m immediately happy with the large LCD screen and the new IS lens. The camera feels a lot lighter, which I should be happy about I suppose. Also the “CLICK” sound of the internal mirror is way louder than the 300D, which isn’t good when you are stalking birds and insects generally. The ISO button is a welcome addition and I’m happy my remote switch still works. Also the burst shooting is a vast improvement.. its so fast! Finally, the USB transfer of images is lightning speed by comparison.
