A transparent desktop effect that turns your laptop screen ‘see through’ as in beer, is achieved simply by positioning your laptop/screen and sitting at the desk holding your camera. Move the screen out of the way and snap your photo at roughly the same ‘square’ as your screen space. Import the photo, set it as your wallpaper and sit back and bask in the LCD glow of your success. Of course, the novelty wears off quickly since an exposed desktop is usually one that is not being used, which for me is very rare indeed.
