This, of course, is completely false. A digital composite of some waves at Byron Bay. I mean no disrepect to the victims or their families. The image is one that went through my mind after hearing about the disaster since the western media did not show much of the few images of the tsunami that began to pop up from various sources which shows the horror the waves wrought on several shores.

I, like others, imagined the waves would be bigger. The home videos that surfaced of the incoming waves came complete with confused dialog from people who didn’t know whether to be bemused or scared. The wave seemed gentle at first, and curiously close. It is not until after the wave passes that they realize the gravity of the situation.

The tsunami killed people of all religions sparking debate about God’s benevolence and/or existance. So far the death toll is well above 120,000.
