I hadn’t seen vapour trails like this until I moved to the country. I remember a friend laughing at me for not knowing what it was, but having grown up in the city meant that I had never seen an aircraft so high up. As the boeings sail across the sky at high speeds and altitude the engines leave vapour trails that are visible from the ground, when the light catches them in the afternoon, the trail glows like a shooting star.
