Marsupials have the ability to raise their young from the embryonic stages externally with their pouch and rear them this way well into adolescence. At this point, the pouch is stretched to its limits, often with large feet hanging out. Pictured here however, a baby joey looks on as its mother feeds at Oz.e Wildlife Sanctuary in Albury NSW.
