This large skink lives near two billabongs at the entrance to Wonga wetlands and its species has been spotted regularly there, however they can be found across much of Victoria where the habitat permits. NOTE – ”This species is interesting as it is one of a few that appears to have extended its range in the last 50 years especially along the Murray River. It is extremely common along waterways in Wodonga and has increased in number at Wonga Wetlands.” – Damian Michael, Ecologist.
