I chased this storm as it quickly passed over me heading southwest. I got to the outskirts of town and started driving through the hills before coming to an opening in the canopy that looked out across the sky. I used a tripod and remote switch to open the shutter for 37 seconds and set the aperture to 16 in order to use hyperfocal distance to focus the bolt, since I could not focus on dark sky. Less than five minutes later the spring storm had passed. I began to have an asthma attack and left.
