Many fisherman choose to fish directly off the man made ”walls” that separate the river openings and the sea to allow them access to the larger ocean fish such as Tailer, Jewfish, and Salmon without the sea sickness and money required for boat fishing. It does however take a large rod and a lot of patience losing hooks, sinkers and line to the indiscriminate sea.
