For reasons that will become clear to you, dear readers, sometime in the not too distant future I took a photo of a friends hands tonight. I think the photo turned out better than I expected for the impromtu studio session we set up with a desk lamp and a piano stool. Some post processing to remove some background like the stool edge but it really achieved the effect I was looking for.
