I’ve taken this species before but got a better view of the same last weekend. While they normally feed on mistletoe, a parasitic vine that imitates its host’s form, they also like to feed from other plants such as this one, found in many gardens Australia wide. As common as the mistletoe is depends on this butterfly can be found in most parts of Eastern Australia. The Jezebel form is a vibrant blend of white, black red and yellow which makes them very distinctive.
And yeh, I kinda had fun post processing this one.
