I own a telephoto lens for birds (the avian kind), but a telephoto lens is also good for observing people from afar. Some passerby’s would look briefly at me clicking away, but for most people seeing a photographer in the city must be regular, for most people didn’t react in the slightest. Least of all this guy who didn’t look up once from his paper. I find it interesting being in the city, the human hive, and observing that the closer people are physically, the more distant they seem to become emotionally.
