The problem with looking at photos of space on your phone is you’ll miss most of the detail. When looking at my own photos I’ll spend a good deal of time zoomed right in, to see the beautiful structures within structures. Close inspection of many nebulae reveal Herbig-Haro patches of dense star formation, and bok globules that precede those stages. Messier 8 (The Lagoon Nebula) has dozens of these and is an intensely rich field, so even if you need to scroll past, I’m still going to post this vertically – if only so you can see it a little bigger!
