I set out to find the Crimson Spider Orchid, and despite my best efforts, I was unable to locate them. The donkey orchids have passed and these sun orchids were in full bloom so it seems the end of the orchid season is near. In any case, my near seizures caused by hysterical sneezing and allergy to pollen made the hunt difficult indeed, and I’m happy to have come away at least with this. Orchids are by nature a very sexual plant, and I can’t help noticing their resemblance to human female genitalia. I’m sure the bees love it.
