So this is the updated truecolour version of the earlier narrowband run I did on this target. You can find that one here.

I’m really very happy with how this one turned out after 3 nights of capturing and a lot of processing! Combined here as HaRGB for a truecolour representation of this magnificent nebula high above our heads right now in the Southern Hemisphere.

27 x 90s Hydrogen Alpha
50 x 75s Sulphur II
50 x 75s Oxygen III
15 x 180s RGB
Total Time : 3.5 hours

Celestron 8″ RASA
ZWO 1600MM
QHY12 OSC CCD

Processed in PixInsight as SHO palette (Calibration, Integration, Star Mask, Morphological Transformation) with inverted SCNR and regular SCNR after combining channels in Photoshop CC. Then RGB stacked and integrated and replaced as the main colour blend layer, with SHO added back in for a 15% blend for blue highlights. As always downloaded in high res and released to public domain for free.
