I took this a couple of months ago but never thought to post it here on my blog. This kind of image is cool, if not a bit cliched. It’s true that on social media the most popular space photos are ones that anchor the viewer with foreground details here on Earth. They give the image context and scale to appreciate. I only post the best images here so I’m a lot more active on my Instagram and my Google+ which see a lot more of my work, but I’ve really come to enjoy this image.
It’s probably a good post to mention that I was on TV this weekend as they ran small profile about my photography and science outreach across Australia on the ABC! If you were one of the many people who sent me messages about it, or started following me online – thank you! An online version of the story as a written article can be found on the ABC news website here. I can’t find a copy of the TV story archived anywhere sorry. I might add it to my YouTube later if I can.
