The big dark crater bottom left that kind of looks like the death star laser lens is called Mare Crisium and was successfully probed by the soviets in 1969, bringing moon samples back to earth independent of the American missions.
This is my first attempted at a multiple stacked exposure from a DSLR attached directly to the barrel of a telescope (prime focus), effectively making the telescope the lens for the camera. It is a blend of about 15 of the best exposures out of 70 shots of 1/320 shutter speed @ 800 ISO.
