Jupiter (my pet favorite), Venus and Luna herself converged this evening in what would ordinarily be a spectacular lunar occultation anyway only that for us in Australia (at least? Not sure about others) they form a beautiful smiley face with the crescent moon giving us a perfect smile. I believe the next time we see this is in 2013 and 2017 but I could be wrong. I’m not sure how rare it is and am getting conflicting reports depending on which site I’m on, but I’m very glad Scott SMSed me to let me know or I would have missed it completely. Thanks mate!
