Here’s a hard fought close up of the Sombrero Galaxy I just finished using the Celestron 11″ EHD Telescope at it’s maximum 2800mm focal length and the 2-camera trick with the QHY268M for mono and QHY247C for colour. I really wanted to get up close and personal with this galaxy because the only thing better than it’s symmetry and shape is the fine detail in the surrounding ring of dust lanes. The texture and detail in the outer and inner rings are, quite frankly, mind-blowing.

There are a huge number of other little galaxies in the frame too!
