M8 + M20 / Lagoon & Trifid Nebulas side by side. These two targets are far enough apart to usually be photographed individually. Here I’ve imaged them together in the same field of view. This astrophoto is 2.3 hours of 5 minute exposures with the #celestron 9.25″ Edge HD & Hyperstar 3 lens, stacked in Nebulosity 4.
As a bonus, I’ve converted this Nebula to 3D!
Click on the image below to enlarge it. Here is the 3D stereo pair I created with my M20/M8 astrophoto. If you can cross your eyes and focus on the merged image in the middle you should see Trifid coming towards you, and the Lagoon opening up like a cosmic cavern! Let me know how you go, this is my first try!
